Description

Emerson opened its international branch, the European Institute for International Communication, in Maastricht, The Netherlands. Students and faculty came mainly from Europe. The Dutch government gave EIIC a historic building for administration/classroom/studio space and a former nunnery for a dormitory. Library needs were accommodated by the University of Limburg. Founding dean was journalism Prof. Manny Paraschos.
