Description
In 1952, the College considered a merger in light of a severe financial crisis. The National Alumni Council led a grassroots movement opposing the merger. This resulted in a reconfiguration of Board of Trustees who then elected former Emerson faculty member S. Justus McKinley as the 5th President of Emerson College.
